Job summary

Centra Healthcare`s network is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join a SNF/LTC team in La Mesa, CA. You will assist patients with rehabilitative activities and apply a plan developed with an occupational therapist.

Requirements include an Associate degree or certificate, current CA license or in-process licensure, CPR certification, and strong collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals.

Qualifications

• Must have earned either an Associates degree from an accredited school or a certificate from either a community, technical or vocational college.
• Current state license as an Occupational Therapist Assistant / Occupational Therapy Assistant/ COTA or in the process of licensure.
• Current CPR certification.
• Assist patients with rehabilitative activities and exercises outlined in a treatment plan developed with an occupational therapist.
• Assess the learning needs and capabilities of patients and caregivers regarding age, understanding, and emotional status.
• Demonstrate clinical reasoning in treatment planning, implementation and progress monitoring.
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to meet patients' goals.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist patients with rehabilitative activities and exercises per a plan.
• Work under supervision to implement treatment plans.
• Monitor and document patient progress and adjust as needed.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to achieve patient goals.

A great Hospital is looking for an experienced or newly graduated Occupational Therapist Assistant / Occupational Therapy Assistant / COTA to join their growing team!

• This is a direct hire / 'perm' position.
• Days schedule.
• This role assumes responsibility and accountability for incorporating the vision, values, mission and critical goals of the organization into their job performance.

Requirements include:

• Demonstrate and articulate sound clinical reasoning in treatment planning, implementation and monitoring of patient's progress.
• Effectively collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to meet patients goals.
