Job summary

The Legacy at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Boca Raton, FL is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. You will work under the supervision of a licensed OT to help residents improve daily living skills and independence.

Qualifications

• Active Florida COTA license in good standing.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehab center, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused.
• Strong organizational and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Provide interventions to improve functional independence and daily living skills.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising OT.
• Document treatments and resident responses per facility and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with mobility, self-care, coordination, strength, and adaptive techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support resident outcomes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment.
• Educate residents and families regarding therapy programs and goals.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility policies.

The Legacy at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The COTA will work under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help residents improve daily living skills, independence, and overall quality of life.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated rehabilitation professional who is passionate about resident-centered care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans

• Provide therapeutic interventions to help residents improve functional independence and daily living skills

• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist

• Accurately document treatments and resident responses in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements

• Assist residents with activities related to mobility, self-care, coordination, strength, and adaptive techniques

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support positive resident outcomes

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment

• Educate residents and families regarding therapy programs and treatment goals as directed

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility policies and procedures

Qualifications
