Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving residents’ functional independence
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, strength, coordination, and cognitive skills
• Monitor resident performance and report progress to the supervising OT
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support optimal resident outcomes
• Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment use
• Foster a positive and supportive therapy environment

Qualifications and Attributes

• Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Wisconsin
• Experience in skilled nursing, assisted living, or senior rehabilitation preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skillsCompassionate, patient‑focused approach

• Graduate of an accredited school with an associate degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
