The Occupational Therapy Assistant at St. Elizabeth in Edgewood, KY will implement the treatment plan under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist.

Duties include activities of daily living training, cognitive exercises, energy conservation, and home/work safety education. Requires an associate degree in Occupational Therapy, licensure or eligibility, CPR training, and strong communication and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy required or eligible for licensure.
• CPR Training (Outpatient Services) preferred.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.

Responsabilités

• Provides patient care and treatment including self-care retraining, cognitive training, energy conservation, work simplification, home and work safety education, therapeutic exercise, and activities.
• Documents patient progress in accordance with hospital and regulatory requirements.
• Communicates changes in patient progress which may necessitate a change in the plan of care.
• Participates in educational opportunities for professional growth and assists with orientation and mentoring of staff.

Examples of Occupational Therapy services provided may include activities of daily living, cognitive training, therapeutic activities, energy conservation, and home and work safety education. Excellent communication with the supervising therapist is required.
