Overview

Position Provides a full range of therapy activities and techniques for the rehabilitation or habilitation of mentally ill and/or mentally disabled prisoners within the discipline of occupational therapy. This position requires skills to provide various occupational therapy assignments used in the therapeutic treatment of mentally ill/disabled prisoners. The position is a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team assessing the need for devising and interpreting occupational therapy techniques and treatment interventions. The position has responsibility for case management duties for an assigned group of prisoners.

Qualifications

Education
Possession of a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy.

Experience
Occupational Therapist 9 – No specific type or amount required.

Occupational Therapist 10 – One year of professional experience providing therapeutic rehabilitation or habilitation services equivalent to an Occupational Therapist 9.

Occupational Therapist P11 – Two years of professional experience providing therapeutic rehabilitation or habilitation services equivalent to an Occupational Therapist, including one year equivalent to an Occupational Therapist 10.
