Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking an Occupational Therapist for the Acute Inpatient unit at University Hospital. This role evaluates and treats diverse patient populations in accordance with Ohio regulations and the standards of the Rehabilitation Services department.

40 hours per week, First Shift, with a $7,000 sign-on bonus. Final candidates may be subject to background checks and possible drug screening during the post-offer process; we are an equal opportunity employer including veterans

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) required.
• Licensed or certified as an occupational therapist.
• All academic degrees must be from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients according to Ohio OT laws and rules.
• Serve diverse patient populations including general medicine, surgery, burns, ED/observation, postpartum, ortho-trauma, geriatrics, and long-term care.

Job Title: Occupational Therapist - $7K Sign On Bonus - Acute Inpatient

Department: University Hospital | Rehabilitation Services, Acute Care

The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients in accordance with the laws and rules that govern the practice of occupational therapy in the state of Ohio. The patient populations an occupational therapist on this team will serve, but is not limited to, general medicine and general surgery, burn patients, patients within the observation and ED units, postpartum, critical care, ortho-trauma, geriatrics and long-term care. Although team members report directly to a team leader, they are also responsible to each other, to those they supervise, and to other participants included in the patient care activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Masters Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in Occupational therapy. All rehabilitation team members must be licensed or certified with the respective profession. Occupational therapy must meet the educational and/or certification requirements established by their professions. Occupational therapists must hold a Master's degree. All academic degrees must have been granted by an accredited institution.
