Job summary

York General seeks a compassionate Occupational Therapist for a regular part-time role (24 hours per week) in Rehabilitation Services. The OT will evaluate and treat patients across ages, collaborate with physicians and staff, and develop individualized treatment plans. Lymphedema training is a bonus.

Responsibilities include documenting evaluations and progress, educating patients and families, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Nebraska license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• Nebraska OT license or eligibility to obtain.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide occupational therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Help patients improve functional abilities and independence.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on goals and home programs.
• Document evaluations, plans, progress, and discharge summaries.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality outcomes.
• Assist with activity programming and safety/ infection control.

Position: Occupational Therapist - Regular Part Time (RPT)
Department: Rehabilitation Services
Reports to: Director of Rehabilitation

Are you passionate about helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life? We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Rehabilitation Services team in a regular part-time role working 24 hours per week. Bonus points if you are experienced in lymphedema training!

In this position, you will evaluate and treat patients across a variety of ages and diagnoses, while collaborating with physicians, therapists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient-centered care.
