Job summary

Thom Child & Family Services in Westfield, MA seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to join our Early Intervention team. You will provide home and community-based services to infants and toddlers birth to three, partnering with families to tailor interventions to each child’s development.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will coordinate IFSP goals, support parent coaching, and document progress in Thom’s system, ensuring culturally respectful, family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Experience with infants, toddlers and families preferred.
• Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development.
• Ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children and families.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments of the client’s developmental status.
• Assess family and child strengths, concerns, and progress.
• Provide child and family-centered services for birth to three years and their families.
• Develop and monitor IFSP goals and strategies with families.
• Complete progress notes, reports, and correspondence using Thom electronic documentation.

This position offers a salary range of $60,000 to $65,000. Actual pay will be based on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Thom Child & Family Services located in Westfield, MA is seeking licensed Occupational Therapist/OT to join their team.
As an Early Intervention Occupational Therapist/Clinician, you will be responsible for providing home and community based early intervention services to infants and toddlers who have or are at risk for developmental delays and their families in both their homes and community settings. You will partner with parents/caregivers to ensure service delivery is individualized, meaningful for the family, and grounded in evidence-based practice. Through this collaborative process you ensure families’ priorities, needs, culture, and values are prioritized.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $60,000-$65,000, based on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience

Schedule & Paid Time Off

Position Responsibilities

• Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments of the client's developmental status.
• Assess family and child strengths/resources, concerns, and progress.
• Provide child and family centered services and activities developmentally appropriate for children birth to three and their families using parent coaching model.
• Provide service coordination by scheduling, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the intervention plan for each family, ensuring that appropriate procedures and timelines are followed.
• Partner with families in the development of Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) to identify goals, objectives, and strategies related to the child's development.
• Facilitate parent-child interactions to encourage child's development; assist families to act as advocates for their child.
• Complete progress notes, reports, assessments, and correspondence as appropriate using the Thom electronic documentation system.
• Provide individual and group intervention for infants and toddlers from birth to three years old who have developmental delays or who are at risk for delays in the areas of cognition, adaptive behavior, social-emotional development, self-care, fine motor, gross motor, and communication.

Position Requirements

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Health Professions
• Experience with infants, toddlers and families is preferred
• Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development.
• Ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners
• Commitment to delivering individualized and culturally humble services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Abide by all confidentiality and professional boundaries standards.
• Good computer skills as well as strong documentation skills.
• Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Bilingual/Bicultural a plus.
