Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist for inpatient rehab and acute care at our Warren campus. This part-time role covers three 8-hour shifts one week and two shifts the next, with two weekend days per month and a holiday rotation.

You will evaluate and treat patients with physical, cognitive, and psychosocial deficits to restore independence. You will educate patients and families, collaborate with the care team, and help discharge planning.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month (30 days) of hire date.
• OTR credentialed from the Michigan Board of Occupational Therapists.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and plan treatment to improve independence in daily living skills.
• Design and implement plans of care including type and frequency of therapy.
• Document patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families about deficits and adaptive equipment.
• Plan and assist with patient discharge from therapy services.
• Oversee therapists assistants and therapy technicians as applicable.

Job Title: Occupational Therapist (Inpatient Rehab and Acute Care)

Schedule:Part-time hours. Employee will work three 8-hour shifts one week and 2 the next week. There is a requirement of 2 weekend days per month and a holiday rotation schedule.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy (OTR) credentialed from the Michigan Board of Occupational Therapists.
