We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality patient care through evaluations, treatment plans, and therapeutic interventions. This role operates under physician orders and adheres to all state, federal, and professional regulations. The therapist will supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and Rehabilitation Aides while ensuring accurate documentation and billing for services rendered.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations as directed by a physician
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient and family goals
- Utilize occupational therapy techniques including physical agents, therapeutic exercise, and ADL training
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
- Consult with physicians regarding treatment goals and contraindications
- Maintain detailed documentation and complete billing in accordance with facility and payor guidelines
- Participate in discharge planning, including family education and home evaluations
- Supervise occupational therapy assistants and rehab aides in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Ensure therapy areas and equipment are clean, safe, and hazard-free
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Graduation from an AOTA-accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Active state license to practice occupational therapy
- Current NBCOT certification
- Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Rehabilitation Tech/Aide
