Job summary

Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) in Stoneham, MA seeks a Part-Time Occupational Therapist to deliver skilled OT services in patients' homes. You will assess and treat individuals to promote independence, safety, and quality of life while coordinating with care teams.

Requires MA OT license, at least 1 year of clinical experience and afternoon availability; offers flexible scheduling, mileage and licensure reimbursements, and a benefits package including dental, vision and 401k.

Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations.
• Developing individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs.
• Training patients in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
• Assessing patients’ home environments and recommending safety modifications.
• Providing education and training to patients and caregivers.
• Monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment plans as needed.
• Collaborating with physicians and other members of the care team.
• Completing accurate and timely electronic documentation.

Your Role as a Home Care Occupational Therapist (OT):

As an Occupational Therapist (OT) with VRNS, you’ll provide skilled occupational therapy services directly in patients’ homes. You’ll work closely with patients and their care teams to promote functional independence, safety, and quality of life.
