This position ensures clinical excellence in occupational therapy, overseeing patient care and supervising staff.
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, develop and implement treatment plans, and monitor progress. Provide advanced occupational therapy treatments, motivate and instruct patients and caregivers, and document findings accurately. Supervise and mentor staff, students, and volunteers, fostering a collaborative and safe environment. Lead departmental initiatives, participate in planning, and contribute to program development and community education. Act as a clinical resource, mentor, and instructor, promoting professional growth and continuous learning. Represent the department in committees and lead projects to improve services.
Bachelor's or graduate degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program, with a current Texas license and BLS certification. Minimum five years of clinical experience or four years with residency/fellowship. Physical ability to perform lifting, standing, walking, and fine motor skills. Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills. Demonstrated leadership, program development, and mentorship abilities.
