Job summary

Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation in Richmond, TX is seeking a dedicated Full Time Occupational Therapist for our in-house rehab program. The role focuses on delivering medically necessary therapy to geriatric patients across post-acute care, with emphasis on evaluation, treatment planning, and coordinated discharge planning.

As part of the team, you will screen and evaluate, implement treatments, counsel patients and families, and contribute to compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• OT license required and in good standing.
• Open to OTs at all experience levels.
• Geriatric rehab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients; develop care plans per standards.
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled treatments for physical function disorders and wound care.
• Assist with standing, walking, lifting, transfers and positioning as needed.
• Administer procedures including manual techniques, exercises, modalities, and wound care.
• Counsel patients and families; generate discharge summaries.

Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation in Richmond, TX is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a dedicated Full Time Occupational Therapist for our in-house rehab program!

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

• Occupational Therapist license is required.
• Open to OTs at all experience levels. New Grads are welcome!
