Job summary

Expatiate Communications is seeking a per diem Occupational Therapist to support school-based programs in the Los Angeles area, providing assessments, treatment, and collaboration with teachers, therapists, and families to advance student outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold a State Board Certified Occupational Therapist License with at least 1 year of experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and legal eligibility to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• State Board Certified Occupational Therapist License.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Able to complete satisfactory Live Scan background screening and TB clearance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Assess students within their education settings using an ecological model.
• Provide treatment, program consultation, and environmental modifications to improve student function.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including teachers, physical therapists, and speech pathologists.
• Maintain knowledge of California laws and policies governing special education and occupational therapy services.
• Monitor therapy programs and consult with staff on treatment strategies.
• Provide interpretation of assessment reports to families and recommend activities to support motor goals at home.
• Maintain timely and accurate student records.

Work Setting: School‑Based

Location: Virtual and On‑Site (Los Angeles, CA)

Employment Type: Per Diem (Variable)

Pay Range: $50.00 - $100.00 per hour DOE
