Qualifications

• Master's degree in occupational therapy required.
• Active Texas OT license required.
• Experience with pediatrics and with pediatrics with developmental disabilities.
• Excellent customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy services as prescribed by the patient’s physician.
• Maintain a caseload/productivity of at least 33 visits weekly.
• Provide a written evaluation defining OT needs, goals and expected outcomes with the treatment plan.
• Follow policies, procedures and all applicable patient care standards and state laws.
• Develop a written plan of care for OT with reasonable goals and outcomes.
• Maintain patient and company confidentiality.
• Maintain effective communication with staff, health care team members, and family.
• Refer patients to additional educational or medical services when appropriate.
• Participate in coordination of services with the healthcare team, physicians, patient/guardians, nurses and others.

Work Overview

We are looking for a Occupational Therapist who is responsible for the delivery of quality patient care according to the patients individual physician orders. Patient care may involve evaluations, administering treatments and therapies, care planning, communication with other members of the patients multi-disciplinary team, emergency management, coordination of care, health promotion and teaching and training family members.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy services as prescribes by the patients physician
• Maintain a caseload/productivity of at least 33 visits weekly
• Provide a written evaluation defining Occupational Therapy needs, goals and expected outcome in conjunction with referring physicians plan of treatment
• Follow policies and procedures and adheres to all applicable patient care standards, licensure regulations and state laws
• Develop a written plan of care for Occupational Therapy with reasonable goals and outcomes
• Maintain patient and company confidentiality
• Maintain effective communication between staff, health care team members, and family
• Refer patients when appropriate to additional educational or medical services
• Participate in coordination of services (including discharge planning), with healthcare team, physicians, patient/guardians, nurses and others

Benefits

Benefits are offered to full time employees who work 30 hours or more a week. Full time employees are eligible for benefits at 90 days of employment.
