Job summary

BrightSpring Health Services in Nashville, TN seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist for our Rehab Without Walls Outpatient Clinic to provide personalized one-on-one functional rehabilitation. You will perform evaluations, develop and adjust treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes outpatient care and community safety through education and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted OT license in the practicing state.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Minimum of one year of OT work experience.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological diagnoses preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Moving or transferring patients up to 100 pounds with safety procedures.
• Fine motor skills, visual acuity, and walking/standing for extended periods.
• Pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and frequent positioning.

• Regularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences
• Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources
• Communicate patient's needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, person receiving services and family members
• Communicates with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes

• Additional physical requirements include: pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times

Additional Job Information

• Experience in outpatient, acute care or post-acute preferred
• Knowledge of neurological conditions; such as TBI, CVA, SCI, Parkinson's and various neuro conditions highly preferred
