Job summary

You will provide rehabilitation services to patients with physical, mental, and developmental disabilities, conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans. Responsibilities include hands-on therapy, patient and family education, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care, with meticulous documentation

Qualifications

• Current state license to practice Occupational Therapy.
• NBCOT certification.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient rehab experience and outpatient ortho and neuro experience.
• Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to identify patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide hands-on therapy to improve physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning.
• Educate patients and their families on how to manage their conditions and maximize their independence.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.

About the Role:

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team at VAMC Sacramento, California in a full-time capacity working Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing rehabilitation services to patients with physical, mental, and developmental disabilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current state license to practice Occupational Therapy and be board certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in inpatient rehabilitation and in outpatient ortho and neuro experience
