Job summary

MedStar Health seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide evidence-based evaluation and treatment across acute, inpatient rehab, and outpatient settings. You will develop individualized care plans, deliver therapy to improve functional independence, educate patients and families on adaptive techniques and equipment, and document in the EMR.

You’ll collaborate with physicians, nurses, PT/SLP, and social work and contribute to discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based evaluation and treatment to patients across acute, inpatient rehab, and outpatient settings.
• Develop individualized care plans to improve functional independence.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions to enhance daily living activities and mobility.
• Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques and equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, PT/SLP, and social work to coordinate care.
• Contribute to discharge planning and patient progression.
• Document in the EMR and support quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives.
