Job summary

Camellia Gardens Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Henderson, NC is seeking an Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence within a collaborative team. You will develop personalized treatment plans, deliver one-on-one therapy, supervise staff, and document progress according to guidelines.

Candidates must have an accredited OT program, an NC license (or eligibility), and strong clinical/communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility) in North Carolina.
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Positive, patient-first attitude with teamwork.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist patients safely during therapy sessions.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel locally if needed.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop personalized treatment plans based on physician referrals.
• Provide one-on-one therapy sessions aligned with functional, goal-driven outcomes.
• Supervise therapy assistants, rehab techs, and students.
• Document all services and progress notes per regulatory and professional guidelines.
• Educate patients, families, and nursing staff on restorative techniques and home programs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care planning and smooth discharge transitions.
• Maintain productivity standards with knowledge of Medicare and insurance reimbursement practices.
• Participate in performance improvement programs, staff in-services, and continuing education.
• Ensure a clean, safe therapy environment by assisting with equipment maintenance and department needs.
• Flexibly float between nearby facilities with travel reimbursement.
