Job summary

STAT Home Health in New Orleans, LA is hiring a Full-Time Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate patients, develop plans of care, and deliver home-based therapy. You will assess functional status, coordinate with the care team, and set rehabilitation goals to improve patient function.

Qualified candidates are Louisiana-licensed OTs with at least 1 year of experience and CPR certification. The role includes ESOP benefits and comprehensive healthcare coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed by the state of Louisiana and registered by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Have at least one year of experience as an Occupational Therapist (OT).
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician in evaluating the patient’s functional status and occupational therapy needs, and assist in the development of the plan of care.
• Provide services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws governing occupational therapy and in coordination with the health care team.
• Provide skilled Occupational Therapy at patients' homes.
• Prepare written summary to the physician every two months/sixty days.
• Set rehab goals for patients.
• Guide the patient in the use of therapeutic, creative and self-care activities to improve function.

Qualifications

• Must be currently licensed by the state of Louisiana and registered by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Have at least one year of experience as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
• CPR certification
• Patient service-oriented and time management skills.
