Job summary

Schoolforce Solutions is seeking an Occupational Therapist to conduct evaluations and develop IEPs, delivering direct OT services to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation.

You will collaborate with teachers and families to integrate strategies, recommend adaptive equipment, and maintain compliant documentation, with opportunities for ongoing professional support and development.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Licensure in Illinois (ISBE/IDFPR).
  • ISBE Approval as a Related Service Provider (if required for school-based roles).
  • NBCOT Certification preferred.
  • Fingerprint clearance and background check required.

Job description

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams to integrate therapy strategies into the learning environment.
  • Recommend and implement adaptive equipment and classroom modifications to improve student accessibility.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and IDEA guidelines.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
  • Provide training and consultation to teachers and staff on strategies to support student independence.
Required Qualifications:
  • Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Illinois OT Licensure (issued by the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation - IDFPR).
  • Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Approval as a Related Service Provider (if required for school-based roles).
  • NBCOT Certification preferred.
  • Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required.
