Job summary

New Story Schools in Pennsylvania is seeking an Occupational Therapist to help students ages 5–21 build fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills, promoting independence in learning and participation.

You will collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to design individualized strategies, conduct evaluations, document progress, and ensure timely, compliant reporting in a dynamic school setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy and an active Pennsylvania license.
  • Minimum two years of occupational therapy experience, including one year with children.
  • Strong understanding of sensory integration and motor development.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to meeting documentation and compliance deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations and develop individualized IEP goals to improve fine and sensory motor skills.
  • Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to assigned students.
  • Track and report student progress through documentation and progress notes.
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to promote carryover of therapy goals.
  • Maintain therapy materials and ensure timely, compliant reporting.
