Job summary

Magnolia Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our warm, collaborative team. You will deliver resident-centered OT services within a comprehensive in-house therapy program and help patients regain independence through personalized treatment plans.

Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care, maintain licensure, and adhere to regulatory guidelines while advancing clinical expertise and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Valid state Occupational Therapist license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Director of Rehabilitation.
• Provide occupational therapy services with screening, evaluation, and treatment.
• Develop initial and ongoing treatment plans of care; discharge planning.
• Supervise assistants and rehabilitation technicians; case management responsibilities.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing OT practice.

Provide occupational therapy services for patients while maintaining positive levels of interaction with facilities and clients in accordance with the principles and practices of occupational therapy and within organizational guidelines. Provide quality patient care, including screening and evaluation of patients, development of initial and ongoing treatment plans of care, discharge planning, supervision of assistants and rehabilitation technicians, and case management responsibilities. Adhere to all applicable state and federal regulations governing occupational therapy practice.

Job Responsibilities

• Reports to the Director of Rehabilitation.
• Optimize patient functionality by providing, directing, and/or overseeing occupational therapy services, including screening, evaluation, and treatment.
• Comply with state and federal guidelines related to accurate and timely documentation and billing.
• Establish and maintain effective, patient-centered interactions with patients, interdisciplinary team members, and facility staff.
• Refer patients for treatment to occupational therapy assistants and provide consultation and clinical supervision.
• Directly supervise occupational therapy assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
• Participate in utilization review, care conferences, case management, and interdisciplinary team activities.
• Develop and enhance occupational therapy programs, techniques, and services to support quality outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with environmental safety, infection control, emergency preparedness, and patient rights policies.
• Enhance clinical expertise through continuing education and professional development.
• Maintain valid state licensure.
• Understand and apply relevant payment models and treatment guidelines. Maintain confidentiality of organizational, facility, and patient information.
• Conduct oneself in an ethical, legal, and professional manner at all times.

Qualifications

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Valid state Occupational Therapist license, where applicable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic internet navigation.
