Job summary

KPC Promise Hospital of Baton Rouge is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team in Baton Rouge, LA. The OT will provide comprehensive patient care within their scope of practice, including assessment, planning, and direct treatment across a general rehab caseload.

The role requires an active OT license, strong English communication, and the ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current State License in Occupational Therapy.
• Long term acute care experience is preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as possess good verbal and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the OT scope of practice.
• Perform patient assessment, care planning, direct treatment and consult to a general rehab caseload.
• Participate in the clinical interdisciplinary team process and provide teaching to staff.

Occupational Therapist

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY Regular Full Time 1030-Tech/LicP /Spec Baton Rouge, Baton Rouge, LA, US

KPC Promise Hospital of BATON ROUGE: The Occupational Therapists is responsible for providing direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Occupational Therapist provides patient assessment, care planning, direct treatment and consultation to a general rehab caseload, participates in the clinical interdisciplinary team process, provides teaching and training to care giver staff, is involved in clinical program development and supervises other licensed therapists, assistants, technicians, aides and students as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must hold a current State License in Occupational Therapy and must maintain license renewal in accordance with the applicable State Licensing Board.
• Long term acute care experience is preferred
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as possess good verbal and written communications skills

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
