TrulyHired is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a school-based setting serving youth aged 2.9 through 22. The role focuses on enabling independence in daily routines, enhancing motor, sensory, cognitive, and social-emotional skills within an educational context.
The OT will collaborate with a Special Education Team and apply best practices in pediatric care, developmentally appropriate strategies, and IDEA/Section 504 guidance, contributing to inclusive learning environments across schools.
Occupational Therapists in a school-based setting work with individuals aged 2.9 through 22 in accessing their educational environment and academic curriculum and assist them in maximizing their independence in their daily routines, activities and functional tasks. They focus on developing or improving motor skills, sensory processing abilities, cognitive functions, and social-emotional skills. The Occupational Therapist is a related service provider who can be an integral member of the Special Education Team, if the individual requires such intervention.
