Job summary

Holder Construction seeks an Occupational Safety and Care Coordinator for on-site projects in Mooresville, IN. This full-time role bridges human care and operations, guiding injured workers and managing claims from first report to return-to-work.

You will work with Safety, Risk Management, subcontractors, and third-party partners to deliver best-in-class care and safety outcomes, requiring travel to nearby project sites regularly.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of construction safety experience, including onsite claims handling.
• Familiarity with OSHA 29 CFR 1904 Subpart C — Recordkeeping Forms and Recording Criteria.
• Excellent people skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to travel regularly to project sites within ~three-hour radius.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of care coordination for injured workers — accompanying them to medical appointments and assisting with follow-up care.
• Establish and maintain a panel of physicians and partner clinics for incidents.
• Administer claims and care process for onsite injuries and coordinate with internal/external teams.
• Lead incident investigations with the project safety team and ensure proper documentation/submittals.
• Track incident data and claim trends with Safety and Risk Management to identify improvements.
• Maintain professional communication with local, regional, and company leadership on claim status.
• Act as a resource for workers and management on risk management policies and safety practices.

About The Role

We are looking for an Occupational Safety and Care Coordinator to join our Safety team on our project(s) in Mooresville, IN. This is a full-time, in-person. The Occupational Safety and Care Coordinator work at the intersection of human care and operational excellence — serving as the primary advocate and guide for injured workers while managing the claims process with professionalism and precision. This role works directly with the Safety Team, Risk Management Department, subcontractors, and third-party partners to deliver best-in-class experience from first report through return to work.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of care coordination for injured workers — accompanying them to medical appointments, navigating treatment options, and assisting with follow-up care from first visit through recovery
• Establish and maintain each project's panel of physicians, building relationships with partner clinics, occupational health providers, and onsite/mobile medical services before incidents occur
• Administer the claims and care process for any onsite injuries, coordinating a consistent internal and external claims management process
• Lead thorough incident investigations alongside the project safety team — compiling required documentation, owning report submittals, and ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Track incident data and claim trends, partnering with Safety and Risk Management to identify patterns, flag risk factors, and drive proactive improvements
• Maintain consistent, professional communication with local, regional, and company leadership on claim status and updates
• Act as an on-the-ground resource for workers and management on risk management policies, safety best practices, and available support options

Qualifications

• Familiarity with OSHA 29 CFR 1904 Subpart C — Recordkeeping Forms and Recording Criteria required
• Excellent people skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences — injured workers, subcontractor supervisors, clinic staff, and executives
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to build collaborative relationships with internal teams and external partners
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and case management technologies
• Able and willing to travel regularly to project sites within approximately a three-hour radius
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered
