Job summary

RieLes Group is seeking two Occupational Medicine Physicians to support the Occupational Medicine Services (OMS) at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. The OMS clinic serves federal employees, NAF employees, and Active Duty personnel with medical exams and workplace health evaluations.

Physicians will provide occupational medical care, examinations, and consultations to support mission readiness and safety in a government contract setting. Onsite work from Monday to Friday with standard daytime hours.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an approved medical school.
  • Board certification in Occupational Medicine or equivalent.
  • AP/PA collaboration and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical care and treatment for work-related injuries and illnesses.
  • Perform occupational health examinations and fitness-for-duty assessments.
  • Review workplace exposure information and medical test results.
  • Maintain timely medical documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Collaborate with IOEMC, COM, PA, nursing staff and safety personnel.

Position Overview

RieLes Group is seeking two Occupational Medicine Physicians to support Occupational Medicine Services (OMS) at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.

The OMS clinic supports the Ogden Air Logistics Complex (OO-ALC), subordinate commands, tenant organizations, federal employees, NAF employees, and Active Duty personnel receiving occupational and environmental health medical examinations.

The physicians will provide occupational medical care, examinations, medical evaluations, and consultation in support of workplace health, safety, and mission readiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical care and treatment for work-related injuries and illnesses
  • Perform OSHA expanded-standard physical examinations and occupational health examinations
  • Conduct occupational, periodic, pre-placement, TDY, PCS, deployment, comparison, and fitness-for-duty examinations as required
  • Review and interpret workplace exposure information, COHER requirements, OEHED data, and OEHME requirements
  • Review and interpret abnormal radiology, EKG, pulmonary function testing, and laboratory results
  • Provide patients with appropriate follow-up guidance based on examination and test results
  • Evaluate employees referred for job-related hearing concerns
  • Perform medical evaluations related to temporary or permanent duty limitations and potential removal from hazardous noise environments
  • Provide clinical consultation and documentation supporting hearing-conservation actions
  • Conduct physical examinations of the external ear canals and tympanic membranes and perform cerumen management when clinically indicated
  • Provide objective medical documentation for workplace restrictions/removals and workers' compensation determinations when medically warranted
  • Perform fitness-for-duty examinations when authorized
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the applicable electronic health record
  • Collaborate with the IOEMC, COM, PA, nursing staff, audiology personnel, Public Health, Bioenvironmental Engineering, safety personnel, and other OMS staff
  • Maintain required clinical privileges and comply with applicable Air Force, DoD, OSHA, and Hill AFB requirements
Required Qualifications
  • At least one of the two physicians must meet the following Occupational Medicine requirements:
  • MD or DO degree from an approved medical school
  • Master's degree in Public Health or Occupational Health (MPH/MOH)
  • Residency in Occupational Medicine or Aerospace Medicine
  • Board certification by the American Board of Preventive Medicine in Occupational Medicine
  • Current physician license in any U.S. jurisdiction
  • Federal DEA registration
  • State controlled-substance registration, when applicable
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

The SOW permits the second physician's occupational board certification/specialty to be reviewed and potentially waived on a case-by-case basis by the appropriate government authorities. A board-certified Family Practice physician may be considered when the required waiver is granted.

Credentialing & Security
  • Completion of required clinical privileging through the 75th Medical Group
  • AF Form 1540 and applicable clinical privilege documentation are required before initiating practice
  • Credentials will undergo primary-source verification and required screening
  • A Tier 1 (T1) background investigation is required for healthcare workers under the contract
  • Favorable suitability determination is a condition of employment.
  • Current BLS certification must be maintained
