Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking an Occupational Health Specialist (LPN/RN) to serve as the first point of care for employees at the on-site nurse’s station. You’ll provide routine and emergency medical attention, conduct health assessments and screenings, and manage medical records.

Mobility is required to respond to incidents on the production floor to maintain a safe, healthy workplace. The role requires an unrestricted LPN/LVN license, CPR/First Aid/AED certification, and 1+ years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted LPN/LVN license required.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification required; urine drug screen and breath alcohol collections may be added.
• 1+ years nursing experience preferred; graduate hours acceptable.
• Able to respond to workplace injuries and health issues and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site medical care within nursing scope and protocols.
• Respond promptly to health issues on site and in the community.
• Perform health screenings (drug/alcohol tests, spirometry, audiometry).
• Maintain accurate health records for OSHA and state compliance.
• Ensure confidentiality in all health matters.
• Support safety and ergonomic initiatives.
• Assist with wellness programs and employee health education.
• Help manage and document workers’ compensation cases.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the health and safety team.

Occupational Health Specialist - LPN/RN

In this key role, you'll serve as the first point of care for employees, providing both routine and emergency medical attention for work-related and general health issues. Based primarily in the on-site nurse’s station, you’ll deliver care, conduct health assessments and screenings, and manage medical records. The role also requires mobility to respond to incidents on the production floor, helping maintain a safe, healthy, and productive workplace.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide on-site medical care within nursing scope and protocols.
• Respond promptly to workplace and general health issues.

What You’ll Need

Education:

• Current unrestricted state license as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse required.

Certifications:

• Current CPR/First Aid/AED card required. If selected, Pilgrim’s will facilitate becoming certified in urine drug screen and breath alcohol collections.

Experience:

• Prefer 1+ years’ experience in the nursing field. Clinical hours can be acceptable for graduate nurses.
