The Occupational Health and Safety intern will perform meaningful work in support of Xcel Energy, Corporate Safety. The selected individual will take an active role supporting the Corporate Safety Programs, written program revision and development, risk assessments, exposure monitoring, reporting/corrective action plans and other Occupational Health and Safety programs as opportunities occur. The selected individual may use exposure measurement devices, identify employee/contractor exposures, assist in implementation of control measures (i.e., PPE, engineering controls...) and conduct Safety & Health related training. The Health and Safety Intern will assist on enterprise project specific written programs, internal process, reporting, management software applications, and other related opportunities.

This position is for a May 31, 2027 start date. This position may have the possibility to extend beyond the internship’s initial term based on the candidate’s successful performance and Xcel Energy’s business needs.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour
