Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a board-certified physician to join our WorkReady Occupational Health team in Rochester, NY. This role focuses on workplace wellness, injury management, and regulatory testing, with a Monday–Friday schedule and robust nursing and administrative support.

The ideal candidate will hold board certification in a relevant specialty, acquire MRO and DOT certifications within six months, and bring experience in occupational medicine or urgent care.

Qualifications

• Board-certified physician across multiple possible specialties (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Preventive Medicine, Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Industrial Medicine, Orthopedics, Physiatry, PM&R or Occupational Medicine).
• MRO certification — required or willing to obtain within six months of hire.
• DOT Medical Examiner certification — required or willing to obtain within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive occupational health services including pre-employment physicals, injury evaluation and treatment, DOT exams, and regulatory testing.
• Collaborate with employers, case managers, and safety officers to promote return-to-work strategies and injury prevention.
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to employees across manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, and municipal sectors.
• Maintain a Monday–Friday schedule with no night or weekend call.
• Utilize strong support from nursing, administrative, and employer relations teams.
