Job summary

WorkCare Inc. seeks a full-time Occupational Health Nurse to support medical and safety at a large construction site in Clay, NY. The on-site clinic offers an hourly wage of $50.00–$52.00 and a night shift, 4:00pm–12:00am, Monday–Friday.

The RN will provide direct patient care, manage injuries and illnesses, conduct medical surveillance, and drive wellness initiatives while maintaining patient-centered care in an occupational setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a NY RN license.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• 3–5 years RN experience required.
• 2–3 years in urgent care, ED or occupational health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site treatment and injury management to minimize off-site care.
• Deliver first aid and follow-up for injured workers.
• Coordinate care with treating physician and Incident Intervention program.
• Maintain supplies and support clinic operations.
• Provide episodic care and OTC medications as needed.

Job Summary

We are looking for a full-time Occupational Health Nurse to support medical and safety efforts at large scale construction site located in Clay, NY. This project is anticipated to last multiple years with exact timing to be determined by client requirements.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing direct patient care, injury and illness management, medical surveillance, wellness initiatives, episodic convenience care and assisting with other occupational and environmental health services, as needed, while maintaining a professional and patient-centered approach in an occupational setting

Schedule

Night Shift; Monday - Friday 4:00pm - 12:00am.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provideon-site treatment / management of injuries and minimize the need for off-site medical treatment
• Give on-site care, first aid and follow up to occupationally injured/ill workers
• Ongoing communication with the treating physician regarding employee clinical status
• Coordinate care with WorkCare's Incident Intervention Injury Management Program and utilize Physician escalation services as needed
• Provide episodic care for minor medical issues, medical consultation and recommendations according to treatment care guidelines set forth and in collaboration with WorkCare Consulting Medical Director (CMD) and policy/procedures
• Support injury prevention through education and ergonomic evaluation
• Help employees prevent injuries and manage pain
• Report to client and WorkCare management periodically
• Contribute insight to incident reports and tracking of injury and clinic utilization data
• Order and maintain supplies to ensure that the clinic is appropriately stocked
• Participate in general flow of clinic operations
• Provide dose of common pre-packaged over the counter (OTC) medicine to employees for episodic care at no cost to the employee, as well as follow up care, which must be provided by the employee's personal medical provider
• Perform additional duties and assume additional responsibilities as identified by manager for the efficient operation of WorkCare.

Qualifications: Education and Experience

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a validNY RN license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is highly preferred
• Must hold currentBLScertification
• 3-5 years RN experience required
• 2-3 years' experience in an urgent care, emergency department or occupational health setting preferred
• Certification in Occupational Health preferred

Physical Demands

• Requires sitting for long periods of time, working at a desk.
• Some bending and stretching could be required.
• Working under stress and use of computer/phone required.
• Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard and mouse.
• Occasionally may be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and/or crouch.
• May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

• Mainly indoor, office environment conditions.

This position has an hourly pay range of $50 - $52 per hour. Final compensation rate for this position depends on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications.
