Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Women’s Care/Obstetrics on a full-time 7A-7P day shift. The Obstetrics Unit provides comprehensive prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum care, focusing on mother and newborn wellness in a patient-centered environment.

The RN will deliver evidence-based nursing, collaborate with care teams, assess patient needs, delegate tasks, and maintain a plan of care in line with hospital policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure recognized by Kentucky State Board of Nursing is required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Completion and maintenance of BLS.
• ACLS & PALS (or ENPC) within 6 months of hire.
• NRP within 3-6 months of hire; AWHONN Basic/Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring within 6-9 months; STABLE Course as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and identify nursing care requirements within obstetric scope.
• Delegate nursing tasks and supervise care; develop and maintain a plan for delivery of nursing care.
• Ensure interventions align with hospital policies and professional guidelines; follow departmental procedures.

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred

BLS certification

ACLS & PALS (or ENPC)

NRP within 3-6 months of hire

AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification (Basic/Intermediate/Advanced)
