Advocate Health in North Carolina seeks a Certified Nurse-Midwife to provide collaborative obstetric and gynecologic care in inpatient, clinic or office settings. You will assess health status, design care plans and work with physicians to deliver high-quality patient care.

The role requires an active RN license, CNM certification in NC, and BLS. At least 1 year of CNM experience, strong clinical judgment, communication, and cultural sensitivity to support diverse families through pregnancy and

• Certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board and approved to practice as a Nurse Midwife in the state of NC.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider from AHA required.
• Minimum 1 year as a CNM.

Major Responsibilities:

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, stooping,pushingand pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak English fluently and in understandable terms. Mustpossessintactsense of sight, hearing, smell, touch, and finger dexterity.Must have the ability to react and perform in stressful situations.Settingsrequiringregular 24-hour call along withadditionalcall requirements.

Functions independently in an inpatient care setting, clinic or office setting in collaboration with a supervising physician. Provides care for caring for laboring patients, and may include providing obstetrical and gynecological care in the clinic or office setting.

Position Requirements

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse required
