• Provide the full spectrum of surgical and medical management of gynecologic cancers
• Perform complex gynecologic surgery, minimally invasive and robotic procedures
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and coordinated oncology care pathways
• Collaborate with radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, surgical oncology, and supportive care services
• Teach and supervise residents and medical students in clinical settings and give didactic lectures
• Participate in clinical documentation, billing, and compliance activities
• Engage in clinical trials, participate in quality improvement and programmatic development
• Share in call coverage and service responsibilities consistent with operational needs

Summary

The Division of Gynecologic Oncology at the Dan L. Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center, composed of affiliates at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center, Harris Health Ben Taub Hospital, and Texas Children’s Pavilion for Women, is seeking a fifth BE/BC gynecologic oncologist to work as a full-time faculty member at the assistant or senior faculty level.

The successful candidate will join a growing academic gynecologic oncology program committed to providing comprehensive, multidisciplinary, and innovative care to patients with gynecologic malignancies. The position offers the opportunity to build a high-volume academic clinical practice while contributing to the continued growth of the gynecologic oncology program through clinical research, clinical trials, education, and program development.

Job Duties

• Responsibilities will be primarily divided between Harris County Hospital District (HCHD) and Baylor Clinic
• Faculty will provide the full spectrum of surgical and medical management of gynecologic cancers, including complex gynecologic surgery, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, and cytoreductive surgery
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and coordinated oncology care pathways
• Collaborate with radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, surgical oncology, and supportive care services
• Teach and supervise residents and medical students in clinical settings and give didactic lectures
• Participate in clinical documentation, billing, and compliance activities consistent with faculty standards
• Engage in clinical trials, participate in quality improvement and programmatic development
• Share in call coverage and service responsibilities consistent with operational needs

Minimum Qualifications

• M.D. or MD/PHD degree
• Has completed an ACGME-approved Gynecologic Oncology fellowship

Job Experience:

• Experience or interest in clinical trials

Certification/Licenses/Registration:

• Board certified or board eligible in Gynecologic Oncology
• Eligible for Texas Medical licensure and DEA registration
• We require an unrestricted Texas Medical license and full credentialing before starting employment.
