Job summary

AMN Healthcare seeks a Laborist OB/GYN to provide locum tenens coverage in Modesto, California. Start ASAP with call-only schedule; inpatient care for obstetrics and gynecology cases, 10–15 patients per shift and admissions duties.

Candidates must be Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology with a California license, BLS and PALS, and experience in inpatient obstetric care. AMN provides malpractice insurance, travel and lodging arrangements, and a dedicated recruitment team.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology with active CA license.
• BLS and PALS certifications required.
• California medical license active and in good standing.
• Laborist experience in inpatient settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide OB/GYN laborist coverage for inpatient services.
• Handle 10–15 admissions per shift; respond to calls as needed.
• Maintain immediate 100 case logs upon start.
• Work on-site in Modesto, CA with Cerner EMR.

This facility is seeking a Laborist for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity

Schedule: 09-18-2026 - Ongoing; call only

Practice Setting: Inpatient

Types of Cases: Obstetrics and Gynecology – Laborist; 10–15 patients per shift; admissions required. Provider must be able to provide 100 case logs immediately. Availability in December and ongoing coverage is requested.

Credentialing Timeframe: 30-60 days

Electronic Medical Record: Cerner

Certifications Required: Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology; Basic Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support

Licensure Required: California medical license only
