Job summary

The Queen's North Hawai\'i Community Hospital in Kamuela, Hawaii is seeking a full-time Obstetrician-Gynecologist to serve a medically diverse population at a 35-bed rural acute-care facility. You will build your own patient panel and collaborate with CNMs and APRNs in a supportive, community-oriented environment.

The position offers a flexible clinic schedule, inpatient/outpatient care, and a guaranteed salary with potential incentives, plus relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Board-eligible/board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required or pending
• NRP certification is required or preferred
• Experience working in low-resource, rural settings is desirable

Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope obstetric and gynecologic care, including inpatient and outpatient services
• Clinic 3 days per week with blocked OR time 1 day per week
• Back-up call with CNM 1–2 days per week; weekend call once per month
• 30–40 deliveries per month; clinic volume 16–20 per 8-hour day depending on patient mix
• Collaborate with CNMs on L&D and clinic; support APRNs in clinic

Position Details

• Full-time position
• Provide full-scope obstetric and gynecologic care, including inpatient and outpatient care
• Flexible schedule with clinic 3 days per week, 1 day per week with blocked OR time, and back-up call with CNM 1 to 2 days per week
• Weekend call once per month
• 30 to 40 deliveries per month
• Clinic volume: 16 to 20 per 8 hour day depending on the mix of GYN and OB patients
• Collaborative work with CNMs on L&D and clinic
• Supporting APRNs in clinic

Compensation & Benefits

• Guaranteed salary and potential for incentives
• Compensation is between $382,000 and $420,000 per year

Part of The Queen's Health Systems, Queen's North Hawai\'i Community Hospital has over 300 employees and more than a dozen physicians who serve the main hospital as well as outpatient clinics at Lucy Henriques Medical Center.
