Job summary

The Obstetric Triage and Outpatient Registered Nurse position at Medical University of South Carolina provides patient-centered care for pregnant and postpartum patients in obstetric triage and outpatient settings. You will perform focused maternal and fetal assessments, prioritize care, and document thoroughly to ensure accurate charge capture.

When volume allows, you will support admissions, initiate IV access, assist with patient care, and help with patient flow and charge responsibilities as

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; RN license to practice in SC or a compact state.
• Minimum of one year of RN work experience required.
• Current AHA BLS certification or Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely, patient-centered nursing care for obstetric triage, outpatient evaluation, and scheduled procedures.
• Perform focused maternal/fetal assessment and coordinate disposition and documentation.
• Act as a clinical resource for Women’s Services when volume is low and support admissions and patient flow.
