Job summary

The VIOS Clinic in Jersey City is seeking a Surgical Technician to assist obstetrical and gynecological surgeries, including cesarean sections, by preparing sterile fields, passing instruments, and ensuring equipment functionality in the labor and delivery unit.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of surgical experience (preferably in labor and delivery), show attention to detail, thrive under pressure, and work well in teams. Night shifts, full-time with weekends, totaling 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completed Surgical Technician training program.
• CST/ NBSTSA certification required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Set up operating rooms and maintain aseptic techniques.
• Pass instruments and assist with patient positioning.
• Perform surgical counts and handle specimens.
• Decontaminate instruments and support emergency situations.
• Assist with neonatal resuscitation and patient care tasks.
• Stock supplies and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
