Job summary

Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, TX, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Certified Obstetric Surgical Technologist for an OB PRN role. You will prepare the surgical suite, scrub for obstetric procedures, and support the team to ensure safety and compassionate care for mothers and newborns.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Surgical Technology program.
• Certification in Surgical Technology.
• Current BCLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans for and scrubs assigned surgical procedures per standards.
• Participates in on-call rotation based on department needs.
• Operates the sterilizer and other patient care equipment after training.
• Supports team to maintain sterile field and patient safety.
• Assists with updating paperwork, inventory, and room turnover.
