Job summary

Proforma Health Inc. is seeking an obstetric specialist to provide labor and delivery coverage within a hospital-based obstetric service. The role requires rapid response to obstetric emergencies and coordination of care in a high-acuity setting.

You will work with a team that includes midwives and maternal-fetal medicine backup, and you will collaborate with Level III NICU resources to support high-acuity newborn needs.

Qualifications

• Strong obstetric emergency response and clinical decision-making.
• Competence in emergent obstetric surgical procedures.
• Ability to coordinate care in a high-acuity hospital setting.
• Effective teamwork and communication with obstetric and neonatal support services.

Responsibilities

• Provide labor and delivery coverage within a hospital-based obstetric service.
• Respond to emergency department consultations and deliver care accordingly.
• Manage patients in labor and delivery settings.
• Perform emergent obstetric surgeries as needed.
• Provide timely evaluation and coordination for obstetric emergencies.
• Collaborate with a team supported by midwives and maternal-fetal medicine backup.
• Work alongside Level III NICU resources to support high-acuity newborn needs.
