Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking an Obstetric and Gynecology physician for locum tenens coverage in an inpatient hospital with a dedicated Labor and Delivery unit and operating room for Cesarean sections.

Shifts include 24-hour call coverage with urgent dates available from March through July 2027. Start ASAP; credentialing typically within 10 days from completed application. CA license and DEA registration required during credentialing.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology or board-eligible within 5 years.
• Active California medical license is required.
• DEA registration required during credentialing.
• Credentialing timeframe: minimum 10 days from completed application.

Responsibilities

• Provide obstetrics and gynecology care, including vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
• Work in inpatient hospital with a dedicated Labor and Delivery unit and OR for Cesarean sections.
• Cover 24-hour call shifts; respond to OB/GYN emergencies as needed.

• This facility is seeking an Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.
• Details and requirements for this opportunity: Schedule: 24-hour call coverage; urgent dates available from March through July 2027 (multiple blocks of coverage needed)
• Practice Setting: Inpatient Hospital; Family Birthing Center with dedicated Labor and Delivery unit and Operating Room for Cesarean Sections
• Patients/Deliveries: Approximately 25–40 deliveries per month (average 23–30)
• Types of Cases: Full Obstetrics and Gynecology, vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, gynecologic surgery, emergency department call for Obstetrics and Gynecology-related issues
• Credentialing Timeframe: Minimum 10 days from completed application
• Electronic Medical Record: Cerner
• Certifications Required: Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology or Board Eligible within 5 years; Drug Enforcement Administration registration required during credentialing
• Licensure Required: Active California medical license
