Job summary

National Louis University in Chicago seeks an Obstetric and Gynecologic Nursing Clinical Adjunct Faculty for Summer 2026 and beyond. The role covers on-site clinicals in the Greater Chicago area, a full weekday schedule, and participation in course assessments.

You will implement curriculum in clinical settings, guide student-centered learning, and work with program leadership to align evaluations and outcomes. Prior teaching in BSN or clinical settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Nursing.
• Unencumbered Illinois RN license or ability to obtain one.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in the related clinical area.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned clinical course based on approved syllabus and curriculum.
• Implement evaluation methods as outlined in the syllabus.
• Collaborate with nursing program administration for assignments and evaluations.
• Attend adjunct orientation before each semester.
• Adhere to School of Nursing policies and procedures.
• Participate in end-of-course program reports and evaluations.
• Attend required clinical agency orientation, if applicable.
• Supervise and maintain laboratories and equipment when teaching in simulation/skills labs.

Overview

Obstetric and Gynecologic Nursing Clinical Adjunct Faculty for Summer 2026 term and beyond for our School of Nursing Program. Availability: Must be able to teach an 8.5 hour clinical in the Greater Chicago area. These programs are taught on-site at the Chicago campus during the weekday.

What you will do

You would be responsible for the implementation of the curriculum in the clinical. As an Adjunct Faculty you possess current and evolving knowledge in the content area along with related clinical practice experience. You will teach the students, provide the clinical assessments and evaluations, and facilitate student centered learning.

Essential Responsibilities

• Teach assigned clinical course based on approved syllabus and developed curriculum

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an RN in the related clinical area
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred:

• 1-3 years of experience teaching BSN undergraduate nursing students in either theory or clinical
