Bingham Healthcare in Blackfoot, ID is seeking compassionate, skilled Registered Nurses to join our Observation Unit team. This role provides short-term monitoring, evaluation, and treatment planning in a fast-paced hospital setting.

As an Observation RN, you will assess conditions, coordinate care, and support discharge planning while delivering patient-centered care. We value teamwork, leadership, and ongoing professional development within a community hospital.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Current Idaho Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
• ACLS and PALS certification preferred and required within one year of hire.
• One year of RN experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for observation patients.
• Monitor changing patient conditions and respond promptly using sound clinical judgment.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and accurately.
• Coordinate admissions, observation care, discharge planning, and transitions when inpatient admission is needed.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
• Partner with physicians, case managers, therapists, and ancillary departments to coordinate timely, high-quality care.
• Serve as a patient advocate while promoting safety, efficiency, and positive patient outcomes.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to fellow nursing staff as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
