The unit focuses on bed management, patient throughput, and interdepartmental coordination to support discharge planning and admissions.

Responsibilities

• Bed management: Tracks, prioritizes and assigns beds; coordinates admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Proficient use of OA Gold, CIS, BMD, SMS and other hospital systems in daily work.
• Coordinate unit projects and schedule coverage for hospital staff.
• Communicate patient status, discharges and bed availability to team; facilitate next-step care.
