Job summary

North Vista Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Per Diem Observation Attendant to support nursing staff by maintaining patient observation, safety, and a clean environment at the North Las Vegas campus.

The role requires English proficiency, basic computer skills, and enrollment in a CNA program within 90 days, with BLS (AHA) certification expected. Day shifts are available; per diem status offers flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Eligible to participate in CNA training within 90 days.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the observation attendant maintains constant visual observation of assigned patient.
• Assists in the provision of a safe and clean environment.
• Communicates observations of the patient’s activity and behavior on a regular basis to the assigned nurse.
• Communicates in a professional manner and demonstrates respect for patient, families/significant other and other health care members.
• Offers support to peers and staff.
