Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is seeking a Sonographer to operate ultrasound imaging equipment, support diagnosis, and ensure patient safety. The role requires clinical hours, state licensure considerations, and certifications (ARDMS/ARRT/CCI) with two advanced registries, plus BLS.

This position emphasizes collaboration with caregivers, adherence to safety standards, and proficient use of imaging technology to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Sonography.
• 1 year of relevant experience.
• State licensure may be required depending on state of practice.
• Certifications: ARDMS/ARRT/CCI and 2 advanced registries; Basic Life Support (BLS).
• In Arkansas, ARDMS-RVT or CCI-RVS or ARRT-VS may be required within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment and software, mainly ultrasound, to support diagnosis and treatment.
• Ensure patient safety and maintain high-quality imaging standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.
• Follow protocols and adjust as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients and team members.
