Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL seeks a Research Assistant-OBGYN to support and contribute to OBGYN research initiatives. You will work closely with the Research Scientist and team to plan, run, and analyze experiments related to vitamin D and progestogens in ovarian cancer prevention.

The role emphasizes data handling, literature reviews, and maintaining meticulous records while complying with humane care guidelines. This is a full-time on-site opportunity with potential for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Previous experience in a research setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Research Scientist to plan, design, and conduct laboratory experiments.
• Train lab members in basic science laboratory techniques.
• Collect, record, and analyze research data using established laboratory techniques and protocols (e.g., cell culture, Western blotting, PCR).
• Conduct literature reviews to support research design, protocol development, grant applications, and manuscript preparation.
• Prepare and maintain laboratory materials, ensuring proper labeling, storage, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate research records and ensure data confidentiality and security.
• Prepare, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment for proper functionality and cleanliness.
• Procure lab supplies and maintain a lab expense spreadsheet.
• Participate in research team meetings and stay informed on developments in the field.
