Job summary

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System in San Antonio, TX, seeks an experienced Obstetrician and Gynecologist to join an established practice anchored by CHRISTUS Children’s downtown hospital. The role features a heavy obstetrics caseload (85% OB / 15% GYN) with access to advanced surgical technology and tertiary subspecialty support.

Board certification/eligibility and Texas license are required. The practice operates across Downtown and Southside clinics with a balanced 5-day clinic schedule (8:00

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Active (or eligible for) Texas Medical License.
• Strong clinical, surgical, and interpersonal skills with a commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care in both outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital settings.
• Manage prenatal visits, labor and delivery, routine antepartum rounding, and postpartum care.
• Perform routine GYN surgeries and clinical procedures using modern laparoscopic and robotic platforms.
• Partner with MFM specialists, pediatric care teams, and hospitalists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Optionally teach and supervise resident physicians during rotations and cases.
