Job summary

Medix is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible OB/GYN physician to join a hospital-affiliated women’s health practice in Florida. The role offers balanced inpatient/outpatient duties, collaboration with CNMs and APNs, and a team-driven environment.

The position features a 50/50 obstetrics/gynecology mix, with duties across prenatal, labor, delivery, and gynecologic care, plus ultrasound interpretation and possible complex procedures.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with OB/GYN specialty.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Florida medical license or ability to obtain.
• Experience supervising Advanced Practice Providers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope OB/GYN care with a 50/50 obstetrics/gynecology split.
• Manage prenatal care, labor/delivery, postpartum, and high-risk obstetrics.
• Perform gynecologic evaluations, office procedures, and surgeries.
• Collaborate with CNMs and APNs and other teams to ensure quality care.
• Participate in a shared 1:10 call rotation and maintain patient safety standards.

Job description

A growing, hospital-affiliated women's health practice is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN Physician to join a collaborative team providing full-scope obstetric and gynecologic care. This opportunity offers a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities within a busy, physician-led practice supported by Certified Nurse Midwives and Advanced Practice Providers. Day to Day:

• Provide full-scope Obstetrics & Gynecology care with an approximately 50/50 split between obstetrics and gynecology
• Manage prenatal care, labor and delivery, postpartum care, and routine to high-risk obstetric patients
• Perform gynecologic evaluations, office procedures, and surgical services
• Complete procedures including colposcopy, LEEP, office hysteroscopy (Endosee), circumcisions, and other outpatient gynecologic procedures
• Perform gynecologic surgeries and cesarean deliveries as appropriate
• Interpret obstetric and gynecologic ultrasounds (AIUM certification required within six months if not already obtained)
• Collaborate with Certified Nurse Midwives, Women's Health Nurse Practitioners, and other Advanced Practice Providers
• Participate in a shared 1:10 call rotation with physician colleagues
• Provide care across outpatient clinics and hospital settings while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including nursing, anesthesia, and surgical staff, to optimize patient outcomes

Shift:

• Monday–Friday
• 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Shared 1:10 call rotation

Qualifications:

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain
• Approximately five years of OB/GYN experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
• AIUM certification preferred or willingness to obtain within the first six months of employment
• Experience supervising Advanced Practice Providers preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Competitive salary of $350,000–$410,000
