Job summary

Ascension All Saints Hospital is seeking an experienced OBGYN physician to join a busy, well-respected practice in Racine, WI. You will provide outpatient and inpatient obstetric/gynecologic care with a robust referral base and full hospital resources.

The role includes 32 hours of outpatient care weekly, 24-hour in-house call, about 3 deliveries per 24 hours, and access to robotic systems for complex procedures. Sign-on and relocation packages accompany competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• MD/DO required and Wisconsin license/board eligibility.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. ACLS/ATLS accepted.
• Board-certified in OB/GYN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient and inpatient obstetric/gynecologic care.
• Manage 24-h call with a busy obstetric service.
• Perform surgeries including robotic-assisted procedures.
• Coordinate discharge planning and care continuity.

How you'll make an impact in this role

This is an exceptional opportunity for an OBGYN physician to join a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network

Responsibilities

• Join an established team of 8 other OBGYNs Physicians.
• Provide 4 days (32 hrs) of Outpatient care per week.
• Manage 24 hr in-house call, with an average of 3 deliveries per 24 hours.
• The call structure is 1:10.
• Perform surgeries for approximately 4 hours per week, with 5-6 hospital-based cases a month.
• Access to the da Vinci Surgical System for robotic-assisted surgical procedures.
• Key procedures performed include Robotic surgery, myosure, cerene, and sonata.
• Community: The patient population is diverse. The location is right on the lake, offering proximity to Chicago and Milwaukee.
• We are expanding our Women's Services program and launching a comprehensive 24-hour, 365-day Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) model to provide continuous inpatient obstetric coverage and support for our OB/GYN physicians.
• As part of this initiative, we are transitioning our traditional labor and delivery triage area into a dedicated Obstetric Emergency Department (OBED), creating an innovative care model focused on timely assessment, patient safety, and exceptional maternal care.
• Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area.
• Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinate discharge planning with case management.
• Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
• Accept patient referrals from other physicians. Act as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.
• Participate in academic programs (e.g., medical education and research) as requested.
• Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
